Camera Isn't Charging Right Out of the Box

No Visible LED Indicators: If your Bird Buddy module shows no LED lights during or after charging, despite pressing the button, consider the following troubleshooting steps:

Verify Charging Cable and Adapter: Ensure the use of the Bird Buddy charging cable included in your order. You can ascertain its functionality by using it to charge a different device. Use an adapter from a reliable manufacturer.

Potential LED Issues: Before you pair your device via Bluetooth and connect to your Wi-Fi, you might not see any red lights indicating that the device is charging due to the initial factory settings. No worries, once you have successfully paired your device, the light pattern indicating that the device is charging should be visible.
However, some modules do not exhibit LED light behavior at all (especially before they are paired), but this does not necessarily mean they are not charging. Please try to go through the pairing process, regardless of the light states. The app will guide you through the process.
Sometimes, the module will go directly into Bluetooth pairing mode, exhibiting a blinking blue light. If so, you can proceed with the in-app pairing flow.

- Please include the order number and device's serial number (located on the module's back, beneath the QR code) in your submission.
- For a comprehensive evaluation, charge the device for a minimum of 6 hours. Then please record a video demonstrating unplugging and pressing the button (utilizing both short and long presses) to speed up the return process. If the video is too big to send, upload it on WeTransfer and include the link in the form.

Camera Stopped Charging After a While
First, when charging your device please always follow these 4 steps:
- Use a quality USB-C charger: We recommend charging with a reputable USB-C charging brick and cable
- Clean the Port: Remove dirt, moisture, or debris, including bird food which may be deeply lodged
- Inspect the Port: Ensure the central plastic "tongue" is undamaged and clean
- Gentle Connection: Plug in gently, it should click into place without force
Please charge the device continuously for a few hours, and please make sure to put it on a hard flat surface until you disconnect it (e.g., a desk or a counter). Please make sure the charging cable you are using to charge your Bird Buddy works. You can test this by charging another device.
2. Restart Your Router
Often, devices spring back to life after the router restarts (sometimes it is Wi-Fi communication issues, not battery issues). Power down your router for at least 30 seconds. This step is especially crucial if your Bird Buddy goes offline at any point, preventing it from relaying status updates to the app.
3. Post-Charging Steps

Checking the Device: After charging for a few hours:
- Unplug the device.
- Press its button for 2 seconds to observe any light indicators.
- If no lights are visible, press the button for a more extended period.

App Verification: Check the Bird Buddy app to see the device's status—whether it's 'offline' or 'out of feeder.' Ideally, it should display 'out of feeder.' Be patient as the device's status might take some minutes to refresh in the app. Force-closing and reopening the app can expedite this process.

Testing Live Stream: Once charged, you can also return the device to the feeder and check the live stream. If charged correctly, this action should re-activate the device.
