Welcome! How can we help you today?

Creating your Bird Buddy account

To create your Bird Buddy account you first have to download the Bird Buddy app from the app store suitable for your mobile device. By far the easiest way to get the app is to simply scan the QR code on your Bird Buddy box with your mobile device. You will be redirected to the suitable download option from there.

You can also get the app by clicking right here.

Once the app is successfully downloaded and installed on your device, you can begin your Bird Buddy journey!

Signing up

  1. If you're not logged in or are new to the app, you'll be taken to the welcome screen where you have the option to either start accessing public remote feeders with Bird Buddy Explore or you can start by pairing your own camera.

  2. Ready to dive in? You can start exploring our public feeders by clicking "Let's go", viewing the tutorial, and creating your account (the app will give instructions).

If you have your own Bird Buddy device, select the "Pair via Bluetooth" option. If you do not have an account already you will be asked to make one during the pairing process as well.

  3. Before you can continue to pair your camera or collect postcards from Explore, you'll need to set up an account if you don't already have one. You have the option to create a unique Bird Buddy account using your email address (tap the Create an account button on the bottom of the screen), or, for convenience, you may use available third-party sign-in options (Apple, Google, and Facebook, depending on your device) and create an account that way.

  4. Finally, either continue pairing your Bird Buddy device following the instructions provided or enjoy the postcards coming in from Explore feeders.

Signing in

Once you’ve signed up, you can sign in whenever you want. Make sure you’re using the same method you used when you signed up.

If you created a unique account with your email address, use the "Log in with Email" option, and select "Continue with" if you originally created the account via a third-party option.
