Your feeder captures more than what's on camera. Sound ID listens to the audio in your postcards and tells you which other birds were nearby.
What is Birdbuddy 2 Postcard Sound ID?
Every Birdbuddy 2 postcard includes audio recorded at the moment of the visit. Sound ID analyzes that audio using on-device machine learning to identify bird calls, even from species that never stepped into frame.
So while your camera might confirm a Northern Cardinal stopped by, Sound ID might reveal that a Black-capped Chickadee and a House Finch were singing just out of shot at the same time.

FAQ

- No. Sound ID only runs when you choose to trigger it. This keeps the experience fast and battery-friendly.
- It means the BirdBuddy 2 microphone picked up that species' call or song in the audio recorded during that visit, but the camera didn't capture it on screen. The bird was somewhere in the vicinity of your feeder.
