Subscription Payment Errors

Need help with your Pro subscription? We've compiled a list of common error codes and their solutions to help you get back to birdwatching in no time. Should your error persist, don't hesitate to submit a request through our support request form.

If you paid for a subscription, but the app shows it is inactive:

  1. Firstly, ensure you are logged into the same Apple ID (for iOS users) or Google account (for Android users) in the App Store or Google Play Store that you used to make the purchase.

  2. If you're certain you're using the correct account and the issue persists, please follow these steps:

    • Reinstall the app. 
    • Reboot your phone and try again.

After completing these steps, your subscription should be recognized by the app. If the issue continues, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.

 

1. Error 60: An error occurred!

  • Problem: Issue with processing your payment.
  • Resolution: Double-check your payment information and try again. If the issue persists, reach out to us.

2. Error 61: Network error

  • Problem: Network error during operation.
  • Resolution: Ensure your device has an active internet connection and try again. If the issue persists, reach out to us.

3. Error 62: Network error

  • Problem: The device was offline when making a network request.
  • Resolution: Confirm your device has an active internet connection and try again. If the issue persists, reach out to us.

4. Error 63: Task already in progress

  • Problem: An identical operation, such as two same purchase attempts, is ongoing.
  • Resolution: Wait for the initial operation to conclude. If the issue persists, reach out to us.

5. Error 64: Store problem

  • Problem: Difficulty connecting to the Apple App Store, or Google Play Store.
  • Resolution: Please make sure you are logged into your Google Play Store/Apple App Store. If the issue persists, reach out to us.

6. Error 65: Failed verification

  • Problem: The SDK detected that a request was tampered with.
  • Resolution: Contact us for further information.

7. Error 66: Backend response error

  • Problem: The SDK got an unexpected server response.
  • Resolution: Report the issue to us with the full error details.

8. Error 67: Backend error

  • Problem: There was an unidentified server error.
  • Resolution: Report the issue to us with the full error details.

9. Error 68: Bird Buddy Pro already purchased from another user account

  • Problem: Looks like another account purchased Pro for this feeder already. The subscription might be connected to another AppleID/Google account you use, but you are not logged into it on the device you are currently using to access the app.
  • Resolution: This error might occur if you have more than one Apple ID or Google Play account. Make sure the app store on the mobile device you use to open the App is using the same account that you used to subscribe to Bird Buddy Pro. If you are logged into the correct account and still encounter this issue, contact us for help.

10. Error 69: Cannot make a purchase

  • Problem: The user is ineligible for the specific Subscription Offer.
  • Resolution: For further details or if you have questions, contact us.

11. Error 70: This device does not have permission to make a purchase

  • Problem: The device lacks the necessary permissions for in-app purchases.
  • Resolution: Ensure you are signed into your device with a valid account.

12. Error 71: Payment pending

  • Problem: Additional action needed by the user before granting entitlement.
  • Resolution: Wait for the transaction to complete. If the issue remains, contact the app store support.

13. Error 72: Bird Buddy Pro already purchased from another user account

  • Problem: Looks like this device is already connected to Bird Buddy Pro via another Bird Buddy account.
  • Resolution: If you think this is not the case, please reach out to us.

14. Error 73: Product is currently unavailable for purchase

  • Problem: The product isn't available for purchase.
  • Resolution: Make sure you're trying to buy a product that's accessible for your device/user.

15. Error 74: Purchase canceled

  • Problem: The user canceled the purchase or wasn't charged.
  • Resolution: If this wasn't intentional, try purchasing again. Feel free to get in touch if the issue persists.

16. Error 75: Payment method issue

  • Problem: One of the provided purchase arguments, including the payment method, was invalid.
  • Resolution: Confirm that your payment method and details are correct.

17. Error 76: Cannot make the purchase

  • Problem: The device or user is restricted from making the purchase.
  • Resolution: Confirm that your mobile device and app stores are updated, make sure you have enabled in-app purchases, and that you are logged in with your AppleID/Google Play Store. Try restarting your mobile device and trying again.  If the issue remains, contact the app store support.

18. Error 77: Invalid receipt

  • Problem: The receipt is malformed or invalid.
  • Resolution: Contact your app store support.

19. Error 78: Missing receipt

  • Problem: No receipt file is available on the device.
    Resolution: Make sure you're signed into the device and app stores with a valid Apple ID or Google account that you used to subscribe originally
