We recommend storing the camera module inside during extreme weather, temperatures, or when the feeder will not be used for a while.
Extreme temperatures can affect your camera module's battery capacity and lifespan. If the outside temperature is significantly below -5°F (-20°C) or above 120°F (50°C), we recommend storing your device indoors.
Extreme weather can cause damage to the feeder and camera module, so it's recommended to store the camera inside until the weather passes.
Long-term storage
If you need to store your camera for an extended period, charge it to at least 80% battery before storage. Store the camera in a dry, cool place at a temperature above 0°C (32°F).
To turn off your Nature Cam Pro, press and hold the button for 2 seconds until you see a solid red light. After that, you can release the button.
The Birdbuddy 2 can be turned off by taking the camera module out of the feeder.
You can also store the battery insert along with the solar panels indoors in severe weather, or bring the entire feeder inside.
By following these steps, you'll help ensure that your Birdbuddy camera is ready when you decide to use it again!
