If your Birdbuddy is offline or you need to factory reset for troubleshooting purposes, follow these 5 steps to get your Birdbuddy back up and running in 5 minutes.
- Charge the camera module for at least 30 minutes.
-
Open your phone's Bluetooth settings.
Remove BUDDY from the list of Bluetooth devices on your phone (in case it's not listed there, you can skip this step.)
→ Tips for Android users→ Tips for iOS usersNote: Do not attempt to pair your Birdbuddy in your phone's Bluetooth settings; that will fail. -
Perform a factory reset by pressing and holding the button on your device.
You’ll first see a solid red light, which will then start blinking. Keep holding the button until the blinking stops and you see a solid red light again. When you do, release the button.
You can also take a look at our video instructions on how to perform a factory reset here: - Wait for the blinking blue light.
- Now you can begin the pairing process once again from the beginning. Within the Birdbuddy app, go to Cameras, click on Add a Birdbuddy, and follow the steps.
That's it! Your Birdbuddy is now back online.
Bluetooth will disconnect after the pairing process; that is completely normal. It's only needed to help connect your Birdbuddy to your Wi-Fi.
