Birdbuddy Nook Assembly and Mounting

Attaching the Perch

The perch can be attached by clicking it into the slot at the front of the feeder base.

Installing the Camera Module

Place the camera module in its designated slot in the front panel.

The Birdbuddy Nook camera module lets you easily switch between landscape and portrait views. The two slits around the camera lens indicate the orientation. When the lines are vertical, the camera captures footage in vertical mode; when they are horizontal, it captures footage in horizontal mode.

Installing Birdbuddy Nook with mounts

Now it's time to set up Birdbuddy in its new outdoor home. We recommend that you mount your Birdbuddy instead of leaving it on a flat surface. Placing your Birdbuddy above ground offers birds extra protection from predators and also significantly reduces the possibility of attracting visitors such as mice, rats, or ants.

You can mount your Birdbuddy on a pole, wall, or fence; the included metal hanger also lets you hang it from just about anywhere!

Universal Pole Mount

The universal pole mount is included in every order. It fits any birdhouse pole with a 1-inch or 2.54 cm outer diameter and will also serve as the attachment piece for our wall mount add-on.

The universal pole mount is easily installed onto the bottom of your Birdbuddy feeder with four machine screws, which are also included in the order. You will also need a Phillips head screwdriver (not included).

  1. Place Birdbuddy on its back and attach the universal pole mount to it by tightening the four screws into the designated openings with a Phillips head screwdriver.

  2. Place Birdbuddy onto a 1"/ 2.54cm pole and adjust its position until securely mounted.

Metal Hanger

Guide the rear part of the metal hanger into the designated cutout at the back of the feeder’s roof. Then, proceed to slide the front of the hanger into the front-facing part of the roof.

If you have a Birdbuddy Nook Solar, ensure you attach the metal hanger beneath the main feeder roof, not the solar panel.
